Polis bodoh say Johor gang
JOHOR BARU — Two days after Johor officials declared victory in their fight against crime in he state, a gang of robbers attacked a taxi driver and left a note behind the taxi taunting the law enforcers of the state. >Sounds like 黑玫瑰
The message to Johor police was, “Polis bodoh” (stupid police). >they are too kind on their words
The note was discovered after the taxi was towed to the police station. >meaning along the journey many people have read that, malu sia~
Yesterday, Johor Baru Assistant Commander Ruslan Hassan confirmed the incident and stated that the robbers’ message was a challenge to the police force. >That is VERY obvious
“We will increase our efforts to track down these suspects,” he was quoted as saying in The Star. >now then start??!
The 54-year-old taxi driver was robbed at knife point of his mobile phone, RM30 ($13) and his ATM cards. >These robbers must be resented by the unreasonable fare the cabbies set themselves
Mr Hassan said that the police would go all out to track the robbers who wrote the note.
“Any crime is a direct challenge to us,” he said, adding that this was the first time he had encountered such an incident. The incident put a dampener on the glow that the Malaysian police were basking in over the weekend when Malaysian media carried front page reports quoting Johor police officials that the crime situation was under control. >B'cos it not true. Didn't watch Spiderman?
Johor authorities, under heavy criticism for the spike in crime rates, mounted a massive campaign involving heightened police patrols, spot checks and road blocks to fight crime. In the month from mid-May to mid-June, at least four rape cases were reported. >Hopefully that does not increase their chances for briberies
Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan who gave an update on Sunday said that the crime rate had declined by 4 per cent compared to a month earlier, since 400 police officers were added to the force. >400 more 'kiasi' lazy bugs...
Mr Hassan also said that Johor is tapping on Sarawak officials to learn from their experience
fighting organised crime. >Must pratice don't just learn
Johor residents said they feel “a little safer” with the heightened police presence. But many are concerned how long this sense of security will last. > Johoreans know best
Ms Ally Omar used to carry an iron rod in her car for protection but a few days ago, she removed it, as she feels safer now. > She can't do much even if she has the rod.
“At first, it was a bit scary hearing all those sirens but the sight of policemen patrolling my housing area is a relief,” said the bank manager. >Yah, but they will reach the crime scene when the robbers left, agree?!
“I hope that this will drive all the bad hats away, if not I’d have to go back to protecting myself again.”— AGENCIES
